I was 13 years old the first time I hosted a retreat. Okay, retreat might be a strong word. I’d come home from summer camp on such a high and knew that I wanted to share that feeling with my friends. Have you ever felt that way? You know you have a gift or talent. Maybe you can even see how you’re supposed to use it; and yet, you don’t feel totally comfortable walking in your calling. Give this exercise a try.

2020 was a doozy of a year that no one saw coming. How did you respond? Did you choose to show up as soda? Or water? Ask yourself these questions to find out. Remember, you always have a choice in your reactions. 💛

In 2018, I stood atop these cliffs petrified with fear. The same cliffs I’d fearlessly jumped throughout my childhood and just a year before. How had so much changed? Who was this girl so afraid of what comes next? Sweet friends, let me remind you, cliffs were made for jumping.

My parents can easily recall where they were when news rang out of John F. Kennedy or Martin Luther King Jr.'s assassinations. The world stopped. It weeped and mourned great loss. Accusations were hurled while man hunts and political turmoil ensued. Not much different than 25 years ago, or even today. While some will remember the act, many will remember the response. How are you responding?

Love is a powerful force. Imagine what can happen when you love yourself. Fully. Completely. Without judgment or guilt. Without fear or doubt or lack.

My mat is where I feel most at home. Most alive. Most in tune with who I am and my place in this world. But if I’m being honest, I haven’t felt at home on my mat in a long time. Somewhere between the end of my travels and today, I lost my way.

So the world may feel like it’s falling apart, but that doesn’t mean your vision for the future needs to be tossed to the curb. Let me remind you with unwavering faith, you can manifest the life you crave.

For me, the hardest part of travel was letting go of the life I used to know and adjusting to the life I was currently facing at the time. Right now, experiencing social distancing and house arrest feels a lot like that first week in Barcelona. Life as I knew it two weeks ago doesn’t exist. Everything has come to a halt. Business isn’t as usual, and I’m once again having to adjust to the life I’m currently facing. 

The hardest thing I’ve ever done was watch my father walk away from me in the airport on Sept. 10, 2017. While he didn’t cry, I saw tears in his eyes as he turned around and never looked back. Neither of us knew what the future held. Maybe it was for the best. I was already a blubbering mess, much like I’ve been the last 24 hours.

The lie I’ve been telling myself is that enjoying what I have isn’t “productive” and there’s always more I can be doing. How does one overcome this concept of not enough and always striving for more?

You all know I’m about trusting my intuition and taking leaps of faith, right? From saying goodbye to the traditional 9-5 to flying solo around the world, I like to play life on a grand scale. Yet, I found myself playing very small recently. I was being presented magnificent opportunities - like from my 2017 vision board opportunities - and found myself terrified.

I’ve been told I’m a tad dramatic, but when office gossip leads to big leaps, I’m all for it.
